Mustapha Mona Audu Declares For Kogi Governorship Race, Vows To End Hunger

Prince Mustapha Mona Audu, a son of late former governor of Kogi State, Prince Abubakar Audu, has formally declared intention to contest in the governorship election of the state scheduled for November this year, Igbere Tv reports.


Mustapha, who made his intention public, yesterday, in Lokoja said he would be contesting on the platform of Young Progressives Party (YPP).


He said he was in the governorship race to bring about a revolution and salvage the state from suffering, hunger, poverty, non-payment of salaries, hardship-induced suicides and deaths.


Mustapha said he would build on the good legacies of good governance and development bequeathed by his late father if elected as governor come November, Igbere Tv reports. He urged youths to join hands with him to make the dream a reality, adding that Kogi would move on to greater heights if he became governor.

Also speaking, National Leader of YPP, Bishop Amachri, urged people of the state, particularly the youth, to rally support for the party’s aspirant in his political ambition.
